Raksha Foundation's stroke awareness camp, that was held on 29th march'17, at Cantonment Board Clement Town was able to educate 320 locals about stroke. Ironically stroke being one of the deadliest diseases in the world is also a disease which most people are unaware of. The seminar conducted by Dr. Krishan Avtar, educated the attendees about stroke and how to prevent it. After the seminar the attendees availed the free health checkup and were also helped to calculate their stroke risk score for the next 5 and 10 years. This helped them to gauge the risk factor they lie in and were guided to take precautionary measures beforehand. The seminar also saw a major support of Brigadier Paritosh Pant, President Cantonment Board, Mr. Sunil kumar, Vice President Cantonment Board, Mr. Pankaj Kumar Thakur, CEO Cantonment Board, Dr. Sunita Kathait, Medical officer, and Mr. Kupendar Kandari, Ex Vice President and present Ward members who graced the event with their presence and added value to our crusade of making the world a healthy place.
